Rockwell Survivor Series | Topic 1: Tools for Migration – SLC Conversion Kit

We get questions all the time about how to navigate all the changes and updates that Rockwell Is pioneering. This bimonthly series will cover hacks, tips, and tricks to navigating and thriving with Rockwell Automation.

All skills levels are welcome to join as it will be a quick 15-minute demo, then open to Q&A. You are welcome to join one, or all. Topics covered in this series are:

  •  Topic 1: Tools for Migration – SLC Conversion Kit | April 20th at 10-10:30am – This will be a basic overview of the SLC Controller Platform Lifecycle Status, and the SLC to CompactLogix Conversion Kit.  We will introduce the kit along with a video demo using Rockwell’s Integrated Architecture Builder to convert a basic system to the new platform and create a bill of materials.  We finish up by building a BOM and how to purchase.
  • Topic 2: Navigating Rockwell’s Software Portal | May 5th at 10-10:30am – We will review the basics of selecting a software package and creating a quote in Rockwell’s new Software Portal.  We will discuss Subscription and Perpetual purchasing options, and we will review new volume discount options.
  • Topic 3: FactoryTalk Activations | May 18th at 10-10-30am – This will be a discussion focused on license activations and revisions and how to obtain the right license type for your application.
  • Topic 4: FactoryTalk Analytics for Devices | June 1st at 10-10:30am- This will be an overview of the FactoryTalk Analytics for Devices module and a discussion of how it can be used to provide real time status information about devices in your system.
