We are just a little more than two weeks away from our Rockwell Automation on the Move event, the largest local automation event in Virginia! Remember: This event will not be back in our neighborhood for quite a few years.
As mentioned in our last correspondence, Connected Enterprise will be a huge topic at RAOTM. When it comes to Connected Enterprise, where in the heck do you start? Like the Cheshire Cat said in “Alice in Wonderland,” “Every adventure requires a first step.”
Planning is a great practice and requires less effort than execution. Execution is hard. Aligning resources can be impossible between all the “islands” that make up our industry — engineering, maintenance, operations, production, management, etc. It’s important to figure out how we can all read the same book at the same time, finishing together as a team and company as a whole.
Don’t miss these important technical sessions that will benefit each of us on this journey … together:
|CT403 – How to Begin Your Modernization Plan toward Contemporary Automation Systems: Don’t feel overwhelmed by the thought of modernizing your plant – fi nd out how to take the fi rst step to upgrading and supporting your automation systems. This session will showcase tools, utilities and services available to help analyze, plan, and execute modernization strategies.
T83 – Easing the Deployment of a Converged Plantwide Ethernet (CPwE) Compliant Architecture: Learn how pre-engineered IT/OT networking packages can speed transition, reduce the risk and minimize the support burden of network and virtualization infrastructure that is required to enable The Connected Enterprise. This lecture includes an overview of the Converged Plantwide Ethernet (CPwE) design guidelines demonstrates new pre-engineered CPwE-compliant packages that help simplify industrial network infrastructure design and deployment.
Rockwell Automation on the Move will be held August 30-31 at the Greater Richmond Convention Center. Register today for this event.
